Luigi's Dolceria

The owners of Luigi's Dolceria, formerly of 18th Avenue in Brooklyn, New York have brought their specialties to Staten Island with a beautiful Bakery with outdoor seating and ample parking space.

After 44 years in Alba’s Pastry Shoppe in Brooklyn, my Dad, Luigi DiRosa sold the business and the Alba name to follow his family and many customers to Staten Island. Luigi, together with my Mom Tina, close friend and head baker, Enzo Parascondola and myself, founded Luigi’s Dolceria in March 2004. Together with the dedicated Alba staff, and over 75 years of experience, we brought Staten Island the best pastries that have been part of family traditions for years.

A family owned and run business, Luigi’s Dolceria’s first rule is to treat it’s loyal and new customers as close friends. Italians have an extremely strong sense of family where baked goods play an intense role in all of their traditions. We pride ourselves on using the finest and freshest ingredients that best capture the essence of those traditions to give our friends the best for their own family gatherings. Upon entering the Dolceria you are greeted by a wonderful display of regional and traditional confections along with an aroma of goodies baked earlier that day. All of our cakes, pastries and cookies are made from scratch without artificial flavoring or preservatives.

Yes it’s true that at Luigi’s Dolceria there are long lines and you may have to wait a while however, when you get home and taste the freshness and quality of our pastries, you will agree that it was well worthwhile. “Pastries worth waiting for” (Bill Evans, Channel 7 News)

We would like to thank all of our customers for their loyalty and dedication to us through the years.

Best wishes,

Angelo DiRosa
